THE FALL COLORS....

Changing colors of fall in Pennsylvania!   My family owns a small hunting camp near the Allegheny National Forest (Tionesta, PA) and my father was kind enough to take me there when I was home.  I used to go up there every weekend when I was younger...I absolutely love to be outdoors!  It's mainly used for hunting now...although my father doesn't hunt as much as he used to since he's 79.  My sister and I made it home at PEAK color!  I was sooo happy!

A road that enters into the thick of the forest...I was looking down the hill/road and the color was spectacular!  I couldn't resist.

This picture was taken right outside the front door of the camp.  You can see how dense the trees are....the colors were so vibrant....and the scent of the forest was wonderful.   I wish I could live there!

This is looking out over the hillside with the beautiful colors of autumn.  I wanted a greater depth of field so you could see the colors in the distance as well as the two wonderful trees that highlighted the foreground.

There is an "unofficial" Indian graveyard a few miles from our camp.  Two humongous oak trees flank the grave markings...this tree was actually off to the side a bit and two red squirrels were chasing each other around on it.  They were too fast for me...but I loved the lines of the tree and the way it contrasts with the sky.
